Tee Byford is an accomplished director, having been commissioned by Channel 4 for a five part series as well as working along side brands such as Adidas, Nike and Ford.

Tee is also an experienced DOP and photographer which plays a big part in his film practice.

Having received a first class honours degree in design from Goldsmiths University of London Tee continues to work as a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths and Central Saint Martins.

“My work often drifts between documentary, design thinking and fine art, blending the lines between these mediums to challenge the way we view things.”

Tee’s work is most often concerned with community and environment, in particular he is interested in places that exist on the fringes of our world, having made documentaries about drift car drivers in Somerset to animals on the brink of extinction in the USA.

Currently based in London a lot of his work allows him to travel the world gaining insight into other peoples lives and cultures, which continues to allow him to grow as an individual and an artist.

Tee’s work has been exhibited around the world and he continues to work vigorously on his own projects pushing the boundaries between design, film making and art.

He is currently working on a major project in Darbyshire with WIGS https://wigs.solutions/shirebrookfilmschool which is made up of designers, film makers and academics from a diverse set of back grounds.

Tee is also part of a larger body of work which is currently under way in Rhyl North Wales, the project is lead by Jimmy Loizeau https://www.gold.ac.uk/design/people/loizeau/ and Mathew Ward https://www.gold.ac.uk/design/people/ward-matt/ as well as a host of other collaborators.
